The BMP180 pressure sensor measures the pressure of the environment using a digital barometer. By converting the pressure into corresponding altitude, you can use it to determine the height of a robot, airplane, or any object launched into the air.
The BMP180 sensor can measure pressure in the range of 300 ~ 1100hPa. The device operates with a low current of about 0.3uA, making it suitable for battery-powered devices.
The sensor comes with calibration and is ready for use. It has a standard I2C interface with pull-up resistors already on the board, making it convenient to use. Using I2C, the device provides pressure and temperature up to 16 bits.
